The format of the citation may vary according to the reference style

When utilising an altered form of the PEN tools, this must be clearly specified on the resulting publication (“adapted from”) followed by the name of the tool and the corresponding citation.

Only members of the PEN consortium are allowed to publish these tools, after approval by its Steering Group and always in compliance with the project’s Publication Rules and with the Consortium Agreement.
